Your fishing life, one app
BFA, also known as Basic Fishing Assistant, is a mobile application designed to help anglers organize their fishing activities and document their catch history. The primary function of the tool is to provide a structured environment for planning trips, logging specific catches with associated data, and maintaining a digital inventory of fishing equipment. It serves as a centralized platform for both individual record keeping and social interaction within the angling community. The application includes several core features focused on data management and social connectivity. Users can create and schedule fishing events, track their locations on a map, and record detailed catch information including species, measurements, and photos. The app also features a gear management system that allows users to maintain an inventory of rods, reels, and accessories with quantity controls. On the social side, the platform provides a public feed for community activity and a private stream for updates from a personal network of friends. The typical workflow begins with a registration process where users can input profile details and license information. Once an account is established, anglers can initiate a live session to track an active fishing event. During these sessions, the app provides a step by step interface for capturing evidence of a catch and linking it to the specific outing. After the session concludes, the data is stored securely and can be shared with other users through the integrated social layer, which supports friend requests, comments, and reactions. BFA is currently available for Android devices via Google Play, with an iOS version planned for future release. The interface supports multiple languages, including English and Polish. Technical requirements include a standard account registration and authentication process, though a short onboarding carousel is available to introduce new users to the system before they sign in. The application is designed to function as a utility for both casual and frequent anglers who require a digital method for organizing their fishing sessions and gear.
