A privacy focused AI agent
Blot is a private AI agent designed to answer questions by researching the live web and citing its sources. It does not require an account, profile, or personal data to function. After a query is completed, Blot discards the user’s information, meaning it retains no memory of who asked or what was asked. The tool is currently in alpha, with ongoing improvements to its agent, usefulness, and token efficiency, so users can expect frequent changes. Key features include a strict no tracking policy: anonymous use stores nothing, no analytics, cookies, or fingerprinting are used, and questions are never logged or profiled. Blot’s inference runs on infrastructure whose terms forbid training on data, and the company logs no prompts for training. Any data that users choose to save, such as memory or chat history, is opt-in and encrypted at rest under a key only the user can unlock, using zero-access encryption. A copy of the database reveals nothing. The tool is funded by an optional Blot Pro subscription and occasional referral codes on links that answers already chose on merit, meaning the user is not the product. Technically, Blot operates on Cloudflare, which holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications, and prompts remain inside that network. To answer questions effectively, Blot reads a coarse, city-level location from the user’s connection, but this location is never stored; only a country code travels with the search query. The search index sees the query and that country code, and the model sees only the conversation. No identity leaves Blot. The service aligns with GDPR, UK GDPR, and other privacy laws across the regions it serves, granting users rights to access, export, or delete their data at any time.
