CertPilot is an IT governance evidence platform designed for lean IT teams, managed service providers, and agencies. Its primary function is to replace spreadsheet-based tracking with automated daily checks and structured registers, enabling teams to monitor and prove the health of their IT infrastructure. The platform focuses on verifying external assets and tracking internal records, then converting both into dated PDF evidence reports suitable for management, clients, or auditors. The tool offers two core capabilities: automated checks and structured registers. The checks cover external footprint monitoring, including SSL/TLS certificate expiry, issuer, and validity; domain registration expiry via public RDAP; DNS record drift for A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, and CAA records; and email authentication verification for MX, SPF, DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, and BIMI. The registers allow teams to track internal information such as renewals and vendors with owners, renewal dates, and billing contacts; people with roles, status, and start/end dates; system accounts with identifiers and status; hardware with assigned person, status, serials, and specs; and software with vendor, version, license status, and renewal date. Additional features include an accounts matrix for reviewing people against systems, CSV import and export, and a key-present flag with masked hints (full keys are never stored). Typical workflows involve setting up daily automated checks for domains and services, maintaining structured registers for renewals, vendors, people, and assets, and generating one-click evidence reports. The platform provides a workspace dashboard that displays domain health, findings to action, access review completion status, and available reports. It supports manual data entry as a primary method, with CSV import and export for bulk operations, and does not require directory sync. The platform is offered with a 14-day free trial that does not require a credit card.
