Chart Echo is a web-based tool that analyzes historical chart patterns, known as fractals, to find past instances that visually resemble the current chart of a selected stock or cryptocurrency. The application searches approximately 450 million historical windows across stocks and crypto markets to identify matches, then overlays those past patterns on the user’s current chart in gold. It displays how each historical match continued after the matching period, showing whether the price moved up, down, or sideways, along with aggregate statistics such as average move and typical drawdown. The tool is intended for research and educational purposes only and explicitly states that it does not provide financial advice. The workflow follows a guided five-step process. First, the user selects a market by searching for a stock or crypto or tapping a popular starting point. Second, they set the timeframe and the number of candles that define the pattern, then run the search. Third, a ranked list of historical echoes appears, each with an explanation of why it matches and a similarity score. Fourth, the user can overlay a specific match on their live chart and review outcome statistics. Fifth, they can save the workspace, set a reminder, watch for new fractals, or share a Story GIF. The application also offers a mobile version for checking setups away from a desk. Chart Echo is free to use and requires JavaScript to be enabled in the browser. It includes a glossary of terms, frequently asked questions, and a full walkthrough. The tool is designed for traders and investors who want to study historical precedent before making a decision, but it does not generate predictions or recommendations. The interface presents the market’s own historical data in an organized manner, allowing users to compare current chart shapes with past outcomes in seconds.
