Coverfairy is a web based application that enables authors and publishers to design editable book covers, typeset manuscripts, and export production ready files for both ebook and print formats within a single connected project. The tool supports the full workflow from initial concept to final file delivery, allowing users to set trim size, binding type, paper choice, and final page count, from which Coverfairy automatically calculates the spine width and builds the full cover canvas including bleed and safe areas. Users can start a project by choosing from a curated library of templates, uploading their own artwork, or generating original cover art through an integrated AI feature that produces text free imagery with reversible region edits. The editor provides control over title, subtitle, author name, spine copy, custom text, graphic elements, crop, overlays, and shadows, with all previews updating in real time. Coverfairy supports multiple export formats from a single project, including ebook JPG and PNG, print PDFs tailored for platforms such as KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, and Barnes & Noble Press, ACX square audiobook covers, Wattpad and social share images, and launch graphics. The tool also includes an interior typesetting module that accepts Word documents or EPUB files and converts them into a formatted book with chapters, running headers, page numbers, and opening pages, generating a live page count that feeds back into the cover spine calculation. Export options from the interior module include validated EPUB, KDP ready interior PDF, and a separate large print edition, all sharing design consistency with the cover. Typical use cases include an author creating a complete print and ebook package without switching between separate design and formatting applications, or a publisher managing multiple editions of the same title from one project file. The interface allows users to preview each release file in its final shape, such as portrait cover, full wrap, square audiobook art, or launch ready graphics. Coverfairy also offers paid exports for Canva ready PPTX files and one time PDF downloads of any cover format at a fixed price. No sign up is required to browse the full template library or to start a project from a manuscript. Technical details include print files delivered at 300 DPI with calculated bleed, spine, and safe areas specific to each platform. The application maintains a license record and artwork provenance with each project, allowing users to return to a saved cover, re export any format, and retain access to previous file versions. Over 100 independent authors contributed to the development of Coverfairy, and the platform has supported more than 1,500 book cover projects, with an average rating provided by independent authors.
