Voice drafting for macOS.
Voice drafting for macOS.
Kufuri Typing is a voice drafting application for macOS that separates speaking from text insertion. Instead of entering words in real time like traditional dictation tools, it lets users record rough thoughts and fragments, then uses AI to clean and structure them before inserting the result into a document or app. Its goal is to reduce the friction of formal typing, making drafting easier through speech. The app supports drafting new text, rewriting selected text, and using on-screen context. Users can select text in any app and use voice commands to adjust tone, change length, or turn notes into bulleted lists. Kufuri Typing can also use context from browser pages, files, PDFs, and screenshots to help generate summaries or replies. It supports multiple AI models, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI, and offers different transcription engines so users can balance speed and accuracy. A typical workflow involves starting a recording with a keyboard shortcut, speaking naturally, and then confirming insertion of the refined text with a separate command. A floating bar stays available across apps, and a working log lets users review prior audio, rewritten text, and captured context. Kufuri Typing requires macOS 14 or later and supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Users can connect their API keys or sign in to supported AI services. Those with ChatGPT Plus or higher can also use their Codex access, making AI features available without separate API keys or extra cost.
