Merry Little Fuckers is a web application designed to facilitate Secret Santa gift exchanges among groups of friends or coworkers. The tool requires no user registration or signup; participants join a specific exchange by entering a provided join code. Once added, each participant receives a private link that they can save to access the exchange later. The names of participants are drawn automatically by the system, and each person learns who they are buying for only after the names are pulled. The application enforces two main rules. First, paired or cohabitating participants (referred to as couples) cannot draw each other as gift recipients. Second, all gifts are capped at a maximum budget of thirty five dollars. The system also includes an optional interest input feature, where participants can provide information about their preferences. These interests power the gift suggestions that the assigned Santa sees; vague or minimal input results in less tailored gift recommendations. The typical workflow involves a group organizer creating an exchange and sharing the join code with others. Participants add themselves, optionally fill in their interests, and then wait for the designated pulling time. Once the names are drawn, each participant accesses their private link to see the name of their assigned recipient. The application is built as a single page web app hosted on Vercel, and it is intended for use by a specific group referred to as the Merry Little Fuckers. The interface displays a live count of participants and a list of who is currently in the exchange.
