Teacher-built classroom workspace
PRISM Classroom is a web-based workspace designed for teachers, originally built by a classroom teacher to consolidate the tools used during lessons. Its primary function is to bring lesson planning, whiteboard teaching, PDF annotation, media integration, timers, rewards, and class management into a single interface, allowing educators to reduce reliance on multiple separate applications during the school day. The application is currently in a testing phase, and public sign-up is not yet open; only existing test accounts can access the platform. The workspace is organized around a central home hub where teachers can open saved lessons, manage class lists, and access commonly used teaching utilities. Users can create lesson pages using ink, text, shapes, images, icons, equations, PDFs, and media, all within a single lesson flow. Additional classroom tools such as timers, student name pickers, reward systems (PRISM bucks with spending options), seating charts, QR codes, and a visualizer remain accessible without overwhelming the main teaching space. Teachers can export lesson pages and seating plans as polished PDFs or images for sharing or printing. Typical use cases include preparing lessons in advance at the home hub, presenting and annotating content live on a whiteboard during class, opening and annotating worksheet PDFs, and using timers to manage transitions and pacing. The rewards system supports classroom motivation without requiring a separate tool. Technical requirements are not explicitly detailed, but the tool is accessed via a web browser. PRISM is being refined through ongoing classroom testing, with public access planned for a later staged release.
