AI catalogue for everything you own
Samla is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify, value, and catalog personal collections. Users point their device camera at an item, and the app analyzes the photograph to determine the object's name, brand, edition, and condition. The tool then generates a market value estimate with links to comparable listings and organizes the item into a predefined category and location structure. The app supports 32 categories, including records, books, wine, trading cards, and retro consoles, and is available in nine languages. The primary workflow involves three steps. First, the user takes a single photograph of an item. Second, the app performs a two-stage analysis to extract details and automatically fill in fields such as name, edition, and condition. Third, the item is assigned a market estimate and filed into a user-defined location within the app's cataloging system, such as a specific building, room, and shelf. Users can add tags, notes, and track price history on paid tiers. For items the user wishes to sell, the app can draft a listing using the already identified information, including specific details like record pressing and sleeve grade. Typical use cases include inventorying collectibles for insurance, valuation, or personal organization. The app allows users to share individual item pages via a direct link that can be viewed in a browser without requiring the recipient to install the app. Sharing can be stopped at any time. Digitized collections are stored in the cloud, enabling access from any device. The app also supports publishing items directly to public storefronts from within the catalog.
