SoberDown Recovery & Community
SoberDown is a mobile application designed to support individuals in recovery from substance use. Its primary function is to provide tools for tracking sobriety, maintaining accountability, and accessing immediate support during moments of crisis. The app is available for free on iOS, with an Android version in development. The app includes several core features. The Daily Pledge allows users to verbally commit to their sobriety each day. The Accountability Circle connects users with a selected group of trusted contacts who can be alerted through two functions: Code Red sends an immediate escalation to the circle when a user is experiencing a craving or urge, and Code Green allows for a quieter check-in to let the circle know the user is still stable. The Sober Days counter tracks consecutive days of sobriety and awards virtual challenge coins at intervals of 7, 30, 60, 90 days, and beyond. The app also includes a meeting finder for AA, NA, and Al-Anon groups, a private journal for logging thoughts and experiences, and a community section called UB Nation that aggregates stories and support from other people in recovery. Typical use cases involve starting each day with the Daily Pledge, using the Sober Days counter to monitor progress, and relying on the Accountability Circle for immediate help when a craving hits or when feeling isolated. The Code Red feature is designed for moments when the urge to use is strong and immediate support is needed, while Code Green serves as a regular check-in for maintaining connection with one’s support network. Users can also find local meetings, journal privately, and access shared recovery experiences from the broader UB Nation community. The app emphasizes a direct, no-frills approach to recovery support, targeting individuals who prefer a more rigorous tool over less intensive wellness applications.
