HPDE and Club Racing Logbook
HPDE and Club Racing Logbook
Track Evolution is a logbook designed for drivers who participate in High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events and track days. Its primary function is to help users record and organize their driving activities, including events, sessions, and lap times, on a per track basis. The tool provides a structured way to track performance over time, enabling drivers to review their progress and identify areas for improvement. Key features include the ability to log individual track day events with multiple sessions, record lap times for each session, and view progress through charts that display trends over time. The application also supports in browser telemetry data import, allowing users to upload and analyze data from their vehicle without needing additional software. This telemetry capability gives drivers access to detailed performance metrics directly within the logbook. Typical use cases involve a driver attending a track day and entering details such as the track name, date, and session numbers. Lap times can be recorded manually or imported from a timing device. After the event, users can review their session data, compare lap times across different sessions or events, and visualize improvements using the progress charts. The telemetry import feature provides an additional layer of analysis for those who collect data from their car’s sensors. Track Evolution is an Android, iOS, and web app, available at https://docs.trackevolution.app
