Desktop workspace for AI-assisted
Unified Dev is a native macOS workspace for developers that integrates issue tracking, pull request management, repository monitoring, and AI agent execution into a single desktop application. The tool is designed to reduce context switching by consolidating tasks that typically require separate browser tabs, terminals, and GitHub interfaces. It is distributed as a free and open source application under the AGPL-3.0 license, with no tiered pricing or feature restrictions. The application provides a unified view of issues from all connected repositories, with support for filters, status tracking, slash commands, and markdown-based editing. Users can create issues and sync them to GitHub in real time, assign issues to AI agents, and manage pull requests through a side-by-side diff viewer with syntax highlighting, inline CI status, and inline comments. The review workflow—from diff display to approving changes, requesting modifications, or merging—is handled entirely within the app. Unified Dev also includes a contribution graph that shows a multi-year heatmap, current and best streaks, top languages, repositories contributed to, and counts of reviews submitted and issues opened. The app supports delegating issues to AI coding agents including Anthropic Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot CLI. Users can observe agent execution step by step, review the resulting diffs, and merge changes without leaving the workspace. Every action, such as jumping to a thread, running an agent, adding a repository, or creating an issue, is accessible through keyboard shortcuts—making the interface keyboard-first. Unified Dev is open source and maintained publicly on GitHub; sponsorship is available for those who wish to support continued development.
