Your AI tools create. Their clutter
AgentSweep is a utility application for macOS that helps users manage storage created by artificial intelligence tools. The application scans known local storage locations used by AI editors, coding assistants, agents, command-line tools, and machine learning models. It presents a consolidated view of these files, grouping them by tool and breaking down the storage into categories such as models, caches, checkpoints, and conversations. AgentSweep is designed to work on macOS 14 and later, is open source, and performs all scanning locally on the user's machine without sending data to a server. The application recognizes storage locations for tools including Antigravity, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code. Only tools that have detected storage appear in the interface. Users can inspect the contents of each location by revealing them in Finder, view the total size occupied by each tool, and review individual files or folders before taking action. AgentSweep provides a two-step removal process: users can move selected items to Trash or confirm permanent deletion directly from the app. Nothing is removed automatically, and a review step shows the scope of removal before any action is taken. Typical use cases include reclaiming disk space taken up by model checkpoints, conversation histories, and cached outputs from AI tools. The workflow involves opening AgentSweep, reviewing the list of detected tools and their storage usage, selecting specific locations to inspect, and then deciding whether to delete or keep the files. The application scans filesystem metadata such as paths, sizes, and modification times but does not read the contents of conversations, credentials, or database files. Scan results remain on the user's Mac and are not transmitted elsewhere. Technical requirements include macOS version 14 or newer. AgentSweep is built to stay local, emphasizing that all processing occurs on the user's device. Users are advised to quit any tool that owns the files before removing them, and they must manually empty the Trash to fully reclaim space. The application does not perform automatic deletions, giving users full control over what is removed.
