Edge-first monitoring & control
Banalytics is an edge orchestration and monitoring platform designed for cameras, sensors, and physical systems. It operates as a local-first, vendor-independent, and automation-ready operational layer that connects, monitors, and automates physical world devices. The platform serves a range of users, including researchers deploying high-bandwidth measurement pipelines, small and medium business owners managing mixed-brand cameras across multiple locations, machine learning teams requiring structured field data collection, and individuals running self-hosted home monitoring setups. The platform provides universal device integration, supporting IP cameras, ONVIF, RTSP, USB devices, data acquisition systems, and sensors, with Modbus and MQTT protocols included. Recordings and raw data remain on local hardware such as NAS, local disks, edge nodes, or industrial PCs, with no forced cloud dependency. Users can define triggers, filters, and automations, routing events to MQTT, APIs, Telegram, or external systems for selective capture rather than blind recording. Live feeds, dashboards, event history, and system health are accessible through any browser without heavy client software. Telegram notifications include video context, and alerts provide visibility into cameras, compute, storage, DAQ chains, and processing modules. Typical use cases include deep-tech sensing and instrumentation, multi-site business monitoring, real-world data collection for AI training, and self-hosted home monitoring. The workflow involves connecting devices, configuring local-first storage, setting up event-based workflows, and publishing results to external systems via open APIs. Banalytics wraps existing systems operationally without requiring rebuilding or replacing current hardware or software, and it avoids lock-in to specific camera brands, cloud platforms, or ecosystems. Technical requirements include support for local workstations and development environments on Windows 10/11 64-bit, as well as industrial PCs, mini servers, Raspberry Pi, and edge nodes running Debian or Ubuntu. All core modules are included, with the first instance of select paid components offered free. The platform is edge-first by design and does not require a cloud account to get started.
