Create, edit and keep mathematical.
DuoLanMath is a formula editing tool designed for integration into Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and WPS Office applications. It allows users to insert, edit, and convert mathematical formulas directly within documents, retaining the ability to modify them later. The tool converts LaTeX code or visually input formulas into editable objects that appear as clear vector graphics, ensuring consistent quality regardless of document scaling. It is developed by the creators of the earlier formula processing software “Jidu Formula” and builds on years of experience in formula conversion and handling. The tool supports direct conversion of LaTeX formulas that contain Chinese characters, eliminating the need to manually separate or bypass Chinese content. It uses an updated LaTeX parsing engine that covers a wider range of commands and expressions. The registration of the add-in panel follows the official COM interface standards for stability and security. DuoLanMath outputs formulas as EMF vector objects, which remain crisp when the document is zoomed in or out. The editing interface is designed for straightforward navigation, with common functions easily accessible. Users can choose from built-in formula templates or save their own formulas as presets for future use. Font and formula size settings are adjustable through the panel. A typical workflow involves selecting or typing LaTeX code, converting it into an editable formula object, and inserting it into the document. The formula can be double-clicked later to reopen the editor for modifications. The tool preserves the relationship between the formula and its source code, allowing users to revert to LaTeX when needed. This reduces the need to recreate formulas from scratch. The application is compatible with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, WPS Writer, and WPS Presentation. The underlying technology relies on OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) to maintain the connection between the formula and the editor, enabling seamless updates within the document.
