OpenCognit is a desktop application that serves as a centralized control center for multiple coding agents, including Claude Code, Kimi, Codex, Gemini, and Hermes. It operates locally on Linux and Windows without requiring an account or telemetry. The application is available for a one-time payment of 69 euros, with a license key delivered by email. It is designed to manage several projects simultaneously, with a setup assistant that detects installed command line interfaces and assists in signing in to each service. The application includes a grid of terminals or threaded conversations with approval controls for each tool step, where risky commands require user confirmation before execution. A feature called Cosmos provides a live view that displays which agent is reading or modifying a file, with warnings when two agents access the same file. The built in editor allows reviewing changes, commenting on lines, sending feedback to agents, and performing commit and push operations within the application. Additional tools include a shell (accessible via Ctrl+J), project wide search (Ctrl+Shift+F), and the ability to switch branches, pull, and push without leaving the app. Tasks can have dependencies, recurring schedules (for example, every Monday at 9), and can be handed to an agent with one click. Multiple work and private logins can be used side by side, with quota visibility and account switching. Sessions and conversations persist across restarts, with search across all past conversations and archiving of old threads. Typical use involves installing the application, opening projects by selecting a folder and a command line interface, then letting agents work across multiple projects side by side. The user monitors agent status (working or waiting for input) through the Cosmos view and threaded conversations. Review and commit workflows are handled within the app, including diff viewing, line comments, and sending changes back to agents. The application supports up to four agents simultaneously in the standard version, with two projects (workspaces), while an unlimited version offers unlimited agents and projects with 12 months of updates included. After the update period, the application continues to function without further updates, and the app notifies when a new version is available. The application drives the official coding command line interfaces that users already subscribe to, without requiring additional API keys, models, or per call fees.
