GIT history into standup talking
PulseRepo is a tool that analyzes a software project's git history to generate plain-language questions about how the team is working. Rather than inspecting code quality or syntax, it reads the process recorded in commits, pull requests, review flow, churn, and test changes. The output is a short list of questions intended for people who are accountable for the code but do not necessarily read it, such as technical leads, product owners, executives, investors, or clients. The tool does not produce scores, rankings, or surveillance metrics; each question is backed by the specific commits and pull requests that prompted it. The core analysis is deterministic, meaning the same repository and time window always produce the same signals. An AI layer can be applied on top to generate work items and assess demo risk, but the underlying signals remain reproducible. PulseRepo supports time windows such as the last 30 days, the current sprint, or a custom range since the last release. It can track multiple repositories side by side and show week over week trends. Reports can be exported in a client ready format. Access is read only and tenant isolated, with analysis cached to avoid reprocessing the same commits. Typical use cases include preparing for standups, reviewing what actually shipped versus what was planned in a tracker, and providing stakeholders with a factual summary of recent development activity. The tool integrates with GitHub and GitLab. A free tier allows one repository and five pulse reports per month with a last 30 day window. Paid plans increase the number of repositories and reports, add AI features, custom windows, history and trends, and export capabilities. An enterprise plan offers unlimited repositories and reports, free form Q and A against the repository, custom limits, and self hosted or open source CLI options.
