Your computers, anywhere you go.
Scry is a personal remote desktop application developed by Bravely Studios that allows users to access and control their own Mac, Windows, and Linux computers from anywhere. The service provides native apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad, and Android, all of which are currently available. Users can also access their computers through a browser viewer by signing in at scry.bravely.dev and entering a host pairing code, eliminating the need for installation on the client device. The same binary installed on a host machine can act as both the server and the client, and the macOS build is Developer ID signed and notarized, while the Windows build is signed by Bravely Studios LLC. All Scry sessions are end-to-end encrypted using WebRTC’s standard DTLS-SRTP protocol. Encryption keys are negotiated directly between the two devices involved in a session and never exist on Bravely’s servers. The relay server only facilitates the initial connection between devices; after that, the live session flows peer-to-peer whenever possible. If a network requires the connection to route through the relay, only already encrypted packets are forwarded, meaning the relay cannot read the screen content, keystrokes, or clipboard data. Each session involves exactly two devices owned by the same user, with no additional viewers or intermediary servers decrypting the stream. Key features include text clipboard synchronization between the remote and local machines, support for full multi-monitor setups where users can switch between displays and arrange windows across all monitors on the remote computer, and a browser viewer that works on borrowed or locked-down machines without requiring installation. The browser viewer is the first public interface for Scry, while native desktop apps are signed and notarized, and mobile apps are available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Typical use cases include accessing a home or office computer from a remote location, managing files, running applications, or performing tasks that require a full desktop environment. Scry operates on a subscription model. New users can start a 7-day free trial with a credit card, after which the service costs $9.99 per month. Alternatively, users can subscribe to an all-apps bundle that unlocks every premium utility from Bravely Studios across all platforms, which includes other tools such as PrintScreen.ly for screenshots and recording, ASAPDF for PDF editing and signing, Diskaroo for disk space visualization, and others. The service is designed for personal use, with each installation tied to the user’s own computers.
