Scientific Reasoning Platform
Sinapilot is an artificial intelligence tool designed to critique research papers in a manner similar to a peer reviewer. Its primary function is to identify statistical flaws, missing corrections, and undisclosed conflicts of interest within academic manuscripts. The platform is intended for researchers and clinicians who require a rigorous analysis of study validity beyond a standard summary. It has been tested on published papers, including those designed to contain hidden statistical flaws intended to deceive AI systems. The platform offers several key capabilities. Users can upload a PDF directly or search PubMed to import papers. Sinapilot generates a structured summary covering background, methods, and outcomes. It then provides a peer review style critique that challenges the findings, flagging specific issues such as unmet primary endpoints, unreported placebo effects, and missing statistical corrections like Bonferroni adjustments. The tool also includes a discovery search feature that expands plain language queries into comprehensive MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) searches with synonyms and publication type filters. Users can synthesize findings across multiple papers, comparing claims and p values. The typical workflow involves four steps: uploading or discovering a paper, generating a summary, requesting a review, and synthesizing findings. Sinapilot offers a free plan that does not require a credit card to get started. This plan includes access to five papers per month and twenty AI credits per month, covering summary, question and answer, review, and discovery search functions. The tool is accessed through its website.
