Twitter/X's scalable data.
xfetch is a data access service for the Twitter/X platform, designed as an alternative to the official Twitter API. It provides stable read endpoints that return normalized JSON data, making it suitable for integration into AI pipelines, agent workflows, and other automated applications. The service operates on a credit-based pricing model: new users receive 1,000 free credits upon signing in with a Google account, and no credit card is required. Failed API calls are not charged. The primary capabilities include search for recent posts, retrieval of user profiles and their recent tweets, paginated timelines (including replies and media), audience graph data (followers and following lists), and tweet context (author information, quotes, retweeters, and thread structure). Additional endpoints cover community timelines and trending topics. All responses contain a metadata field indicating credits used. The API is accessible via REST calls (e.g., `/v1/profiles/by-username`) and also through a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows AI agents to query the same data using natural language. xfetch also offers an account monitoring feature. Users can select any public Twitter handle and receive real-time notifications when that account posts. Notifications are delivered directly to a Discord channel after a simple authorization step, without requiring a webhook URL. One account can be monitored free for ten days; monthly plans start at $19 per month and support 2 to 25 monitored accounts. Delivery of notifications does not consume API credits. For custom workflows, signed webhooks are available. Typical use cases for xfetch include AI application development, social listening, lead generation, and market research. The service is built for common read workflows and is designed to be easy to start: a first API request can be made within 60 seconds of signing in. Documentation and examples are provided for both the REST API and the MCP interface.
