Dice Drop is a browser-based 3D physics dice roller. It simulates dice with weight and momentum that bounce off the walls of a tray. The tool supports a wide range of polyhedral dice, from a coin-flip D2 to a 120-sided D120, including less common shapes like the D5, D7, D14, and D16. It functions entirely within a web browser and retains core functionality when offline. The application allows users to customize dice by selecting colors, adding text, or uploading images such as drawings, logos, or photographs for each face. The physics engine can be tuned by adjusting gravity, bounciness, and throw force. Users can also select from 20 dice materials and 7 tray surfaces, each with corresponding sound effects. Dice Drop allows users to build and save custom formulas and macros, such as 2d6+3 or 4d6 drop lowest, and supports rolling with advantage, disadvantage, and flat modifiers. Dice can be grouped by color for separate scoring, and a built-in story board provides pre-configured dice for narrative prompts. Use cases include tabletop role-playing games, game nights, and venue-based play. Users select dice from a list, customize them, and roll them in a shared tray. Results can be pushed to external platforms like Discord or virtual tabletops such as Foundry. Venues, clubs, and community spaces can place their logo on the dice and generate QR codes for patrons to use. The tool supports shared rooms for pass-and-play sessions on a single screen. Dice Drop offers a free tier and a premium tier. The core roller, including all dice types from D1 to D120, custom dice, advantage, modifiers, and roll history, is free to use indefinitely. Advanced features, such as picture dice, expanded saved sets (up to 20 dice in 8 kinds), and additional saved formulas, are available for a 7-day free trial followed by a one-time unlock. No credit card or account is required for the trial. The developers state that every die type has been subjected to a fairness test of 100,000 rolls.
