Combine images in your browser
Free Image Merger is a web based tool that allows users to combine multiple images into a single file directly in their browser. The tool processes all images locally using the Canvas API, meaning no files are uploaded to any server and no account or signup is required. It supports common image formats including PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, and AVIF, with a limit of up to 20 images per merge. The output can be exported as PNG, JPG, or WebP at the original resolution of the source images, with lossless PNG or adjustable quality for JPG and WebP. The tool offers four primary layout options for merging images. Users can arrange images horizontally in a row, which is useful for side by side comparisons or combining screenshots into a wide image. Images can also be stacked vertically, making the tool suitable for merging receipts or step by step instructions. A grid layout allows users to specify the number of columns to create a tidy collage for mood boards, product galleries, or social media posts. For more control, a freestyle canvas mode lets users drag, resize, and layer images anywhere on a blank canvas to build custom collages. Additional features include an image overlay tool with per layer opacity sliders, a sprite sheet maker for animation frames, a sprite sheet splitter, and an Instagram grid maker that cuts one photo into tiles. The workflow consists of three steps. Users first add images by dragging and dropping them onto the tool, clicking to browse, or pasting from the clipboard. They then choose a layout and adjust spacing, background color, and corner rounding, with the merged preview updating live. Finally, they download the merged image as a single file. The tool does not add any watermark or logo, and there is no paid tier to remove branding. It is designed for private use, as no data is transmitted during the process.
