Work around life, not over it.
Pensova is a task management application that integrates with Google Calendar and Outlook to automatically schedule to-do list items into available time slots. The app’s primary function is to take tasks entered by the user and block time for them on the user’s calendar, prioritizing tasks by user-defined importance, duration, and deadline, while working around existing events and commitments. It is designed to prevent scheduling tasks over time the user has designated as important, such as personal or family time. Key features include the ability to add tasks via typing, voice input, photographing a schedule, or using Siri commands. When a user’s calendar changes, such as a new meeting being added, Pensova automatically moves flexible tasks to the next available free time without altering other calendar entries. The app can break long tasks into multiple blocks over several days, with a minimum block length of 30 minutes. It also supports setting tasks to specific days, such as placing a task due Saturday on that day, and allows errands to be scheduled within a broader time window, such as 8 am to 9 pm. The app works with any subscribed calendar, including busy-only and holiday calendars. Typical use cases include managing work projects with deadlines, personal errands, and recurring appointments. The workflow involves entering a task with a description, estimated duration, and deadline. Pensova then analyzes the user’s calendar for free hours and places the task in the highest priority slot before the deadline. If a conflict arises, such as a meeting being added, the task is automatically rescheduled to the next available time. Users can also forward notes or emails to the app, which extracts action items and returns them as draft tasks with suggested lengths and deadlines. Technically, Pensova requires two Google Calendar permissions and does not access email, contacts, or files. It currently integrates with Google Calendar and Outlook, with Apple Calendar and Slack support expected in the first quarter of 2027. The app offers a 7-day free trial, after which it costs from $9 per month.
