Salon & retail POS built into GHL
Rowan is a point of sale system built into a customer relationship management (CRM) platform. It is designed for salons, med spas, and retail shops that operate on appointments and repeat clientele. The system unifies checkout, client records, scheduling, and marketing into a single interface. The checkout process handles services, retail items, gift cards, and custom amounts on a single ticket. It supports split payments between card and cash, ticket holding, and direct card processing to a terminal. Appointments are managed through a booking page generated from the business menu and staff schedule. Today's bookings appear on the register, and selecting an appointment populates the ticket with the client, service, and staff member. When it is paid, the appointment is marked as showed. Client records track visits, lifetime spend, preferred providers, birthdays, notes, and formulas, with an option to add previous items again with one tap. The platform includes scheduling and time clock features with PIN-based clock-in from any station, cash tip declarations, tip splitting or pooling, pay rates, commission structures, and a payroll report. Inventory management tracks stock levels that decrease with each sale, provides low-stock alerts, and supports purchase orders, receiving, and cycle counts. Cost and margin data is available for each product. Reporting covers end-of-day summaries, staff sales, item sales, payroll, and package or membership usage, with customizable charts and spreadsheet export. Rowan includes built-in marketing automations for thank-you and review requests, first-visit welcomes, rebook reminders timed to service duration, win-back messages for inactive clients, and birthday offers. These automations are turned on and edited directly from the POS without requiring a workflow builder. The system supports prepaid packages and monthly memberships, with automatic pricing and the ability for clients to tip on card. Technical integrations include Star CloudPRNT and Epson Server Direct Print over the internet. Setup involves creating an account, selecting or importing a menu, adding team members, and entering terminal details.
