Track how AI mentions your brand
ShareOfAsk is an AI visibility tracking tool that monitors which brands AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini name in response to buyer questions. The platform sends user-selected questions to supported AI models, then records which brands are mentioned, the order in which they appear, and the sources each answer cites. Because AI-generated answers occur inside chat interfaces, standard web analytics do not capture this data. ShareOfAsk provides this information directly, with each measured metric linking back to the original recorded answer for verification. The tool offers a free scan that checks 10 buyer questions across three AI models: OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. It measures four core metrics: how often a brand appears across all measured answers, the proportion of total brand mentions attributed to the user's brand, the percentage of measured questions that mention the brand at least once, and the brand's typical position within an answer's sequence of recommendations. An action analysis component converts the recorded evidence into suggested steps, such as checking whether cited review sites list the brand or publishing comparison pages that answer the tracked question directly. Typical users include marketing and brand teams who want to understand why AI assistants recommend competitors instead of their own brand. The workflow follows three stages: ask, verify, and act. Users choose the buyer questions they want to track, the platform sends each question to the selected AI models and compiles the responses, and the action analysis recommends what to change, why, and how. Users can track the same questions across successive checks to monitor changes over time.
