Train for Hyrox and other sports
Smash Coach is a training application designed for athletes who prepare for HYROX events while maintaining participation in other sports and activities. The app generates weekly training plans that balance race specific preparation with secondary sports such as padel, running, lifting, football, reformer pilates, CrossFit, tennis, badminton, cycling, swimming, and pickleball. Rather than focusing on a single discipline, Smash Coach creates a schedule that incorporates strength work, race prep, mobility, and rest days, with the goal of preventing overtraining and under recovery. The app provides plain language explanations for each session, including guidance on technique and injury awareness, such as cues to stop a set short if a joint requires attention. The core workflow begins with the user answering a series of questions about their race date, training days, and the sports they wish to keep in their routine. A free account can be created without a credit card, and the first week of coaching is generated within minutes. The resulting plan adapts automatically when the user adds or changes a match near race day, trimming the appropriate session to maintain freshness. Key sessions are sent directly to the user’s Garmin watch ahead of time, allowing guided workouts to run offline on the wrist without manual entry or a phone. Currently, weekly plans and watch sync are live; automatic synchronization of all Garmin activities is expected in a future update. Smash Coach is developed by the creator of Hybrid Smash, a Garmin app used by athletes for HYROX training. The service operates on a subscription model at 14.99 euros per month, or 10.99 euros per month billed annually (131.88 euros per year, VAT included), with the ability to cancel at any time. The first two weeks of the full coach are offered without requiring a payment method, so no charge can occur and no cancellation is needed if the user decides not to continue. After the trial period, the coach pauses until a subscription is active, while a free logbook, calendar, and training history remain accessible regardless of subscription status.
