Free Klondike Solitaire in browser
SolitairePlace is a browser-based card game application that offers the classic Klondike solitaire format, commonly referred to as standard solitaire. The game uses a standard 52-card deck and the draw 1 (Turn 1) variation, in which one card is drawn from the stock at a time. The objective is to move all cards to four foundation piles, organized by suit and ordered from Ace to King. The application is designed so that every deal can be won, meaning each hand is solvable with the correct sequence of moves. The game includes several features to assist players. Cards can be moved by dragging or by tapping, and a tapped card is automatically placed in the best available position. An unlimited undo function allows players to reverse moves one at a time, and a hint system suggests moves on a path that still leads to a win. When all tableau cards are face up and the deal is winnable, Auto-Complete plays the remaining moves automatically, and a Skip option finishes the game immediately. The layout consists of a stock pile of 24 cards, a waste pile, four foundation piles, and a tableau of seven columns. Runs of face-up cards can be moved as a unit, and empty columns can only accept Kings or King-headed runs. SolitairePlace uses a Windows-style scoring system. The score does not go below zero, and undoing a move also reverses the associated points. There is no timer, so players can take as much time as needed. A player's best score is stored in the browser. Games in progress are saved automatically in the browser, so closing the tab does not lose the current deal. The application runs on phones, tablets, and desktop computers without requiring a download or account registration. The site also provides access to other card games, including Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, Mahjong Solitaire, and TriPeaks Solitaire.
