Visual trading strategy builder
StratForge is a browser-based application that allows users to build trading strategies using a visual block-based interface instead of writing code. Its primary function is to let traders design strategies by dragging and connecting nodes on a canvas. Indicators such as EMA, RSI, MACD, and ATR are added as blocks, and their outputs are wired to condition nodes that compare values using operators like greater than or cross. These conditions can be combined using AND/OR logic before being connected to separate entry nodes for long and short trades, as well as exit nodes. Stops and targets can be set in terms of R (risk) or ATR. The backtest runs entirely in the browser on sample candle data, with results updating instantly when a connection or parameter is changed. Key features include a full indicator library with editable parameters, the ability to import custom CSV data, and support for saving an unlimited number of strategies. The application also offers access to a community marketplace and a one-time purchase model. For live trading, users can connect to real market data and receive real-time signals. Prop firm guardrails are built in, automatically checking each signal against daily loss limits, consistency rules, and trailing drawdown constraints. A typical workflow starts with placing indicators on the canvas. Users then connect the indicator outputs to condition nodes, combining them with AND/OR logic to form a confluence. The resulting rule is wired to an entry or exit node. After setting stops and targets, the user clicks Run backtest to see P&L, win rate, profit factor, and an equity curve. All changes to the strategy are reflected immediately without needing to export or wait. The demo environment runs on 2000 sample MNQ one-minute bars, and no data leaves the user’s machine during the test. Technically, StratForge operates entirely within a web browser without any installation or server-side processing for backtesting. The interface supports undo and redo via standard keyboard shortcuts, and the canvas can be zoomed and panned. While the live data and signal features require a purchase or subscription, the core visual strategy building and backtesting are demonstrated through a free, in-browser demo that uses sample candles.
