Check if you were posted on Tea
Tea App Checker is a web-based search tool designed to let users check whether they may have been posted on Tea, a dating safety app where women post about men they have dated. It is not made by Tea and is not linked to Tea. The tool searches by first name, city, and age, with an optional clear face photo, and reports possible matches in about 10 seconds in most cases. No account is required. The site states that first name only works best and that a photo can help when a post uses a nickname or no name at all. Search results are free and show each possible match with the post photo, first name, age, city, posting date, and counts of comments and flags. Users can then choose to unlock individual posts. Unlocking is a one-time payment per post, with the price shown before payment, and provides access to the post, its comments, who flagged it, and who posted it. There is no subscription or repeat charge, and users are not charged for posts they do not unlock. The site states that nobody is told when a search is performed. Typical use involves entering a first name, city, and age, or adding a photo, after which the tool compares the details against Tea posts it can access and displays possible matches. A name match is presented as a possible match rather than proof that a post refers to the user, and a result with no match means no match was found in the posts visible at that time, not that the user was never posted. Users can optionally leave an email address with a search for future new-post alerts, although the site states that alerts are not yet available. The service is intended for people who cannot access Tea directly, including men, and it only checks Tea rather than other apps.
