See where you stand. Choose who to
Voteaxis is a web and mobile application that helps users identify their political alignment on a liberal to conservative spectrum and compare their positions with candidates on their ballot. The app presents a short quiz covering 22 issues organized into five pillars: economy and fiscal policy, rights and society, health and entitlements, justice and homeland, and climate, energy, and world. Each issue is placed on a single liberal to conservative scale, and users assign a level of importance to each issue during the quiz rather than afterward. The app then calculates a pillar score as the weighted average of the issues within that pillar and produces an overall axis position ranging from Liberal 100 to Conservative 100. The primary workflow involves completing the quiz, which takes approximately three minutes, and reviewing the resulting spectrum display. The spectrum aggregates the user’s answers into the five pillars and then into one clear axis score. The app then ranks candidates on the user’s state ballot, including races for statewide offices and the legislature, based on how closely each candidate’s positions match the user’s issue priorities. For the 2026 election cycle, Voteaxis currently includes Michigan races. The app is designed to provide a straightforward method for voters to see where they stand and to identify which candidates align most closely with their views. Voteaxis is developed by Greigh Studios LLC and uses the Spectrum Issue Index v1 as its underlying framework. The iOS version is available through TestFlight for beta testing, with an App Store submission in progress. An Android release is planned to follow. Users can join a notification list to receive updates at launch, with no spam and the option to unsubscribe at any time. The app does not require any special hardware or permissions beyond a compatible mobile device.
