Yumtastic is a recipe management application that converts posts from social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, as well as web content, into structured, readable recipes. Its primary function is to extract ingredients, steps, and timings from shared links or pasted text and images, while preserving credit to the original creator. The app flags any information estimated by its AI for user review, and it allows users to save, organize, and later cook from these recipes using a dedicated cook mode that displays one step at a time with large type and built in timers, and keeps the screen active. The application supports multiple methods of input: users can share a link from Instagram, TikTok, or any website, or paste text along with a photo directly. The AI processes the content and generates a clean recipe. Recipes are then stored in collections that can be customized, and the user can search across all saved recipes. A weekly calendar feature for meal planning and a grocery list that groups items by aisle are available with Yumtastic Plus, a subscription tier. The free tier offers 20 imports for life plus a small weekly allowance, with no credit card required. Yumtastic is accessible via web at web.yumtastic.app and is available on Android through Google Play, with an iOS release pending. The interface and recipe content are offered in eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Estonian. Users who save a recipe in a language they do not speak can have it translated.
