Plan projects, IPAs and sprints
planomatti is a free project management tool developed in Switzerland. It integrates classic Gantt chart planning with agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies within a single platform. The tool is designed for live collaboration, allowing multiple team members, including vocational trainers, to work on or observe the same project plan simultaneously. It was developed from the practical need to plan an Individual Practical Work (IPA) project and is used by ICT apprentices in Switzerland in fields such as Mediamatik, Informatik, and Digitales Business. The platform provides multiple project views. Users can manage tasks in a Gantt chart with planned versus actual comparisons, organize work in a Scrum backlog with sprints and burndown charts, or use a Kanban board with drag and drop functionality. A whiteboard view is also available. Tasks are stored centrally, so changes made in one view are reflected in all others. The tool includes features for tracking time, managing a work journal with text generation for documentation, and covering specific IPA criteria such as project phases, milestone tracking, document management, and problem documentation. planomatti is hosted on servers in Switzerland. It is offered without advertising, subscriptions, or the need for a credit card. Users can start with a template or an empty project. The tool supports hybrid workflows, combining fixed deadlines with agile task management. It is accessible via a web browser without requiring an account for the demo.
