Convert Images into Direct URLs
Image2URL is a free web-based tool that converts local image files into public web addresses. It supports JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF formats. Guest users can upload one image up to 2 MB without creating an account, with a daily limit of five uploads. Uploaded images are stored and served through Cloudflare R2-backed storage. Anyone who has the direct URL can view the image. The tool provides output in three formats: a direct URL for browsers, apps, and CMS fields; Markdown syntax for README files and documentation; and HTML image markup for pages and email templates. The conversion process involves three steps. Users choose an image by dropping a file, pasting from the clipboard, or using the file picker. Image2URL validates the image and returns a public URL. Users then copy the link in the format their destination requires. Image2URL is designed for developers, bloggers, and writers who need to embed images in various contexts. Common uses include adding screenshots to README files, issue trackers, API documentation, and prototypes. The service does not require signup for basic guest uploads, and uploaded images can be removed through a provided removal path. Stable links are maintained for published URLs.
