AI Assisted Game development
Kurambit is an open source tool for creating and iteratively improving games with a coding agent. Users describe a game or requested changes in plain language, and Kurambit directs the agent to build the game, then has a tester and a judge evaluate each build. Changes that do not improve on the previous build are discarded, so users receive only builds that pass the evaluation process. A typical workflow begins with a game brief and a set budget for an automated run. Kurambit builds, tests, and evaluates successive versions until the budget is reached. Users can review retained builds and provide further instructions at any time. Each game is saved on the user’s machine as a separate Git repository containing a standard Godot project and the Blender files used for its art, and can be opened without Kurambit. Kurambit currently requires a Linux x86_64 machine and a signed in coding agent account. It works with agents including Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode, and Antigravity, and installs Godot and Blender for the user. The project is licensed under MIT.
