Open-source Skills Hub for agents
Skillpack is an open source skills hub for coding agents. It provides a private, versioned registry for teams to write, validate, share, and install SKILL.md agent skills. The tool is designed for use with Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode. Teams can self-host the platform or use the hosted service at skillpack.app. The platform validates SKILL.md packages before publishing, checking archive integrity, manifests, dependencies, and declared secrets. Skills are published as immutable versions that can be shared with an organization so every member can use and improve them. Installation is performed with a single command that records the exact version and SHA256 checksum in a lockfile. Commands support pinning versions, previewing updates with a dry run, and verifying locked project packages. The platform includes tenant-scoped skill databases, short-lived grants for bound secrets, and supports agent authentication through personal access tokens, Agent Auth, or the Skillpack MCP server. Typical skills include code review checklists, deployment preflight checks, rollback procedures, postmortem draft generation, release notes creation, and codebase onboarding guides. Agents can report skill activations without signing in, and anyone can opt out, allowing teams to identify which skills are actively used. Skillpack never launches agents or executes skill package scripts. Agents act with the consenting member's rights within a single workspace chosen at consent.
