fokuss.ai is a browser extension that replaces the new tab page with a productivity screen. It is designed to help users concentrate on a single task by displaying one next action, a 25-minute focus timer, and a site blocker that activates only during focus sessions. The extension is intended for solo builders and others who want a minimal, task-oriented approach to managing their workday. The core workflow begins with typing a task on the new tab page or selecting a project task as the next move. Each new tab then shows that task. Starting the 25-minute timer enables the site blocker, which intercepts visits to sites on the user's list and displays a "not now" page with the next move instead. Pausing the timer pauses the blocker, and sites open normally outside of a session. When a session ends, the user can take a five-minute break or start another 25-minute block. Users can also allow themselves five minutes on a blocked site while the timer continues, and a short default list of social sites, including reddit.com and x.com, is provided and can be edited. Additional features include project and task lists accessible through a menu, gates that count down as dated deadlines, and the ability to set any task as the next move. The timer can be started or paused from any tab using the Alt+Shift+P shortcut or a toolbar button, and the shortcut is configurable. Notifications are shown when a focus block or break ends. A quiet focus mode changes the focus screen and the "not now" page to a neutral appearance. fokuss.ai requires no account and makes no network requests. It does not include analytics, and the website itself also has no analytics. All data, including tasks, timer settings, and the blocked-sites list, is stored locally in the browser and remains on the device. The extension asks for Chrome permission to read browsing history only to determine which site a tab opens, and it does not keep a history of visited pages. Uninstalling the extension deletes all data, and there is no export option. The privacy page documents every item the extension stores, and use of Google API information adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
